About KIA Honor Flag Organization

In 1993 a veteran, we’ll call Ghost Soldier #3, rode to the Veterans Memorial in Washington DC along with many other vets and riders to pay their annual respect to the American war heroes that meant so much to them.

DC is a place where many Americans go to participate in tradition, patriotism or even protest. But the Veterans Memorial is where we go to mourn, to honor our fallen, pray for the safe return of our service men and women, and a place to heal and meet with friends or family suffering our similar grief.

After the many ceremonies and prayers, some riddled with guilt asking God why some were so fortunate to be spared, while others were not?, and after many tears were shed it was time for the long journey back home. As the riders were leaving and making their final blessings one thought to leave behind a POW*MIA Flag at the memorial, Ghost Soldier #3 stopped the rider and asked, "why would you do that, our POW’s are Not to be Forgotten and certainly don’t want to be thought of as dead?!" The rider exclaimed, "I don’t have anything else to leave for our fallen heroes, what should I do?"

This is when it occurred to Ghost Soldier #3 that he needed to do something, something big and very special. So Ghost Soldier #3 and the group of riders and vets made it their quest to create a flag to Honor America's Fallen Heroes and assure Gold Star Families their loved ones would never be forgotten.

After an extensive search and many slammed doors their hard work paid off when they finally found a company that would sponsor the veterans and their goal to create the countries first KIA Honor Flag and Badge Of Honor to memorialize America’s Fallen War Heroes.

Now the KIA Honor Flag Organization has special programs that sponsor KIA Honor Flag packages & services for every Gold Star Family. KIA Honor Flag Representatives, AL, ALR, PGR, VFW, AMVETS, MOPH and similar organizations may also receive KIA Honor Flags or Support Packages at No-Charge to be used for support missions to honor and remember all Americans Killed In Action “KIA” or that have Died Of Wounds “DOW” past or present.

Our corporate sponsor, Eagle Emblems, Inc. is a registered design and manufacturing company for the United States Military and all of the KIA Honor Flag products. Eagle Emblems, Inc. is a national organization with thousands of retail and wholesale clients that sell and distribute a vast selection of Patriotic and Military pride items around the world.
